After applying Urdhva puNdram, we have to recite:
- kESava etc and SrI etc – 12 names of perumAL and pirAtti.
- Then asmath gurubhyO nama: … SrIdharAya nama: should be recited
- Then thirumanthram, dhayam and charama SlOkam should be recited once
- Then thaniyans of periya perumAL to maNavALa mAmunigaL, followed by our mutt/thirumALigai AchArya paramaparai thaniyans, up to present AchArya of mutt/thirumALigai
- Then gyAnAchAryas’ thaniyans if known, otherwise simple gratitude towards such gyAnAchAryas
